Someone shared with me that their friend reads the book of Proverbs continually. They match the chapter with the date in the month. Example- February 1, Proverbs 1 etc. I have started doing that especially since I have come to recognize how desperately I need Wisdom to become my best friend.
This first blog was driven home to me forcibly when I read this scripture that was mentioned in my book, in The Passion Translation.
Firstly, it is to be noted that in the KJV the two clauses are separated by a semicolon. This means that they are independent but closely related. I believe that the fear of the Lord, Wisdom, Humility and Glory are all interconnected. Wherever there is the fear of the Lord, wisdom is in operation. A wise person knows what should be given to the Lord, He is to be reverenced. When a person knows how to sincerely reverence God, it will propel them to humble themselves under His Mighty hand. Anyone that humbles themselves will be honoured, placed in an exalted position.
My focus though is the second clause:
The footnote from the TPT says…” Or “Before honor is humility.” The Hebrew uses the word kabod, which is translated as “glory” 156 times in the Old Testament.
So, before we can see or I even dare to say, become a carrier of God’s Glory, we must be humble.
What does being a Glory Carrier afford?
Moses was a glory carrier. He was known as the meekest man on the face of the earth in his dispensation. Please note that one of the definitions for humility is meekness. Moses’ meekness allowed him an awesome relationship with God that allowed him to have unique encounters with God and was able to demonstrate the power of God for many years in some incredible ways. It even afforded him face to face meetings with God. In Exodus 4:16 God said of Aaron:
God said Moses would be like the “I am that I am” to Aaron! This is a weighty statement that God made about Moses! Moses’ face shone bright at the end of his 40 day fast. There was so much of God in Him that His face radiated the Glory of God! In my book, I explain the connection between fasting and humility. This is therefore not a surprise! To take it further, the two people that appeared on the mount of transfiguration were Moses and Elijah, the only two men that along with Jesus did an absolute (no food nor water) 40 day fast. The Meekness of Moses and Elijah not only allowed them to impact generations, but they were granted the opportunity to re-enter the earth realm in a visible form to be a witness of the manifestation of the incarnate God! This is so powerful.
Whenever those in authority exhibit true humility, the Glory of God is very commonplace in that Ministry. Sad to say in the body of Christ we have become so used to sensationalism, charisma, and charm of leaders that we cannot discern when the Glory has departed, and the atmosphere is that which has been generated by familiar spirits. We struggle to know what humility looks like. God help us all!
The more I learn about humility, the more I recognize the potency of it!

March 20, 2022 - 2:26 pm ·Apostle you are doing such a great job at bringing the importance of humility to the forefront of our minds. After reading your book I am reminded daily to ask God to remove pride from me because I didn’t see how much he despises it. Thank you for allowing God to use you in this manner. I am truly blessed by it.

March 20, 2022 - 5:43 pm ·As I read this book the thing that stood out to me the most was how I had place or looked at pride for one angle so I always thought that was never an issue where I was concerned but my eyes have been open to how subtle this spirit is and that it is not one to be played with especially when called to lead God’s people. I’m so blessed to be apart of your ministry and your tutelage.

March 20, 2022 - 10:19 pm ·For many years I tried to shy away from being in front /spotlight thinking I was exercising humility. Having read this book I have since learned that“Humility is not thinking less of yourself it is thinking of yourself less”. I have come to realize that shying away from the giftings and potentials that the Lord has placed within me is not fulfilling the will of God. This book has been a blessing to me and has left me daily assessing my steps, thoughts and actions to ensure that they line up with the precepts of God. Pride is dangerous and more so when it is present but you are unaware of it.
Thank you Pastor Nick for allowing the Lord to use you in this powerful way. One small book with a magnitude of lessons. Lessons that will bring transformation.
